Burrendah Primary School embraces a distributed leadership model.
Our Administration Leadership team is comprised of the Principal, Associate Principal, Deputy Principal and Corporate Services Manager.
Curriculum and priority areas are made up of committees led by key teacher leaders in English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), Values and Health, Technologies, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), National Quality Standards (NQS), English is an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) and Students at Educational Risk (SAER). Staff, both teaching and non-teaching, make up the membership of these committees based on their role or interest.
There are year level leaders that coordinate our collaborative learning teams. These teams meet during common Duties Other Than Teaching (DOTT) and when necessary, before or after school.
Staff also lead a number of specific programs that make up part of our targeted learning programs. These include the Pedagogical Framework Focus Group, Level 3 Mental Health Project, Brightpath, Willetton SHS Work Experience Program, Student Teacher Practicum, Graduate Teacher Mentorship, Austism/Positive Partnerships, iPad/Apple Productivity Tools, SMART Board Learning Suite, BRACE - Burrendah's Rigorous Academic Classroom Extension, Deep Learning, Gifted and Talented and Curriculum Differentiation, Mindfulness and High Impact Teaching (HITS).
